Challenge: Funplex, a 10 million dollar amusement business with two locations in New Jersey wanted to counteract a slowdown in birthday events and reverse daytime underutilization of their facilities. Their existing Flash-based site, which generated 8400 users per month, was poorly laid out, difficult to navigate, and failed to deliver the salient information potential customers wanted. The staff spent time fielding phone calls from site visitors looking for basic information about the facilities, while an untold number of potential customers simply took their leisure business to competitors.
Solution: Premiere Creative developed and executed a plan to grow top-line revenues. We created five sites from the single Funplex site and developed two new revenue streams: theteamplex.com for corporate teambuilding exercises and corporate events, and theeduquest.com—a place for schools, educational groups and camps bring children for a great interactive learning experience.
Result: Within four months of launch of the new sites, ROI was 17 times expenditures. Traffic increased nine-fold in seven months to over 70,000 unique visitors. Staff time was cut in half due to the comprehensive website that clearly addresses customers’ questions. Now the staff can concentrate on the important part of their jobs—making sure everyone has fun.
