Interactive Design and Development

Premiere Creative builds full CMS (content management systems) for all of the web sites that we design. The reason behind the CMS is that we want clients to have the flexibility to modify content and imagery within their site at a moment’s notice, more over it gives us greater flexibility to make more substentative changes to the site over time while minimizing design costs. The CMS for the client is limited in scope so that you can the client cannot alter navigation structure or critical SEO features such as title tags, url structure, headers, and the like because of the web marketing strategy we have in place. From Premiere’s perspective, the CMS tool is helpful because it reduces some of the smaller every day tasks that can become time consuming and costly to our clients: simple elements that they should be entitled to make. Our focus is on the big picture of enhancing the client’s brand, generating a buzz, drive sales leads, and increase top line gross revenues. In all cases Premiere uses open source tools that are free and have large communities of engineers and entrepreneur’s who support their growth (globally!) such as ModX, Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal. For E-commerce platforms we prefer are OScommerce, Magento, 3DCart, while our blogs and related pluggins are built using Wordpress. We specifically stay away from developing all flash or java programmed websites since their content is not readable (and thus rankable) by search engines. We have built pieces within websites that are flash programmed, but typically we use Ajax programming since content can be searched and similar results are achievable.
As previously touched upon, user flow is paramount in building any website and particularly in ecommerce based sites or pages. In online commerce, the information architecture must be developed in a manner that channels users towards a path where product are visibile. A simple analogy would be to shopping in a food store design in that companies are keenly aware of paths visitors take in their stores and lead them new products along the way. For any successful online ecommerce store, the user's flow through the site needs to be anticipated and the user must be offered appropriate information at various times in their process of perusing the store and its products.
